Brian Belles - Assistant Football Coach

This is Coach Brian Belles’ first year coaching at Hamilton High School. Prior to joining the Huskies, Coach Belles has been a coach at Cactus High School as the varsity defensive coordinator (2004-2016), DB Coach (2001-2003) and JV defensive coordinator (1999). During his time at Cactus, he has helped the Cobras appear in five state championships (2003, 2004, 2005, 2009, 2011) winning two of them (2005, 2009). He was also selected as the 2005 and 2009 AZFCA Assistant Coach of the Year in 4A.
Coach Belles was born in Phoenix, Arizona and attended St. Mary’s High School from 1992-1996. He was a three year starter for the Knights at linebacker and was a part of the 1994 State Runner Up team and the 1995 state championship team. After high school, Coach Belles accepted a scholarship to play football at GCC at linebacker and helped GCC win back to back Valley of the Sun Bowls in 1996 and 1997. After his time at GCC, Coach Belles got his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from ASU in 1999 and his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from NAU in 2002.Coach Belles is married to his wife Jennifer and they have two children, Becca (17) and Kate (12).
